1. When I saw the name Barack Obama, I thought it was a play on Bin Laden.
2. US Law seems to be just one big patent dispute.
3. The US seems to be the biggest supporter of Open Source Software but also has the strictest controls on software use.
4. The US and UK media outlets are meant to provide impartial reporting on the news but end up inciting hatred and misguided opinion.
5. Only in the UK will you find 16 year olds deliberately getting pregnant so they can get a three bedroomed council house.
6. Tax is so damn high yet you don’t trust a new government to sort it out, so you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
7. Both the US and UK hate their own countries TV programming and download shows from across the other side of the pond. (e.g. LOST, Prison Break, Heroes for people in the UK and Life on Mars, The Office and Top Gear for people from the US).
8. Our Governments impose restrictions on technologies they don’t understand.
9. The younger generation cannot afford to buy their first house, yet the older generation buy to let and enjoy “places in the sun”.
10. Fast food isnt actually that fast.

on obama, i think the fact that his name is hardly american appeals to many americans.
