Pablo Coke Mule

I saw this advert during the break of the Chelsea – Cluj match earlier this evening. Using David Mitchell was definitely the right choice.

What do you think? Will it stop people from trying Cocaine?

The Wedding Video!

It’s here, edited and ready for your viewing.

Embarassing? Yes
Cringeworthy? Yes
Best Day Of My Life? Without A Doubt :)

Keep an eye out for when the vicar says the first prayer of the service and how I say “Amen” at the end. I hope the ground opens up and swallows me whole!

Beware of the Bear

Kudos to the girl with the groin shot and the bald dude who clean swipes him!

I Can Do That!

Last week I went to see the videographer for our wedding and met him at his house. Expecting just to note down a few ideas in his front room, we were escorted into his “studio”, an impressively set out room at the back of his house. Upon taking a seat in his very lovely leather chair, he proceeded to show myself and Katie’s family what his previous wedding bookings he had recorded.

As I sat there watching his video in Final Cut Pro, I pondered about the logistics of setting up my own Video company, one where I would be available for Weddings and private events but go at it with a bit of a different slant.

When I say different, I would try and make the marriage ceremonies live on the internet for family who could not attend around the world, have a Youtube-esqe service that would allow the wedding goer’s to embed snippets of the day on their websites or even email. I could offer a service to other wedding videographers maybe?! Who knows! (OK, I’m running away with it now).

They would get DVD’s with personalised covers and disc printing, you name it.

It’s a serious thought, I will look into investing in some more equipment (a legit copy of Final Cut Pro comes in at near on £4000!) and see what happens. I run my own media company anyways, seems like a good area of business to be in.

My Video Challenge

Sometimes at work or at home, somebody is sent a link to an outrageously funny video on Youtube, Vimeo and the like. These videos are on the most part silly pranks or people disfiguring themselves for the sake of internet notoriety.

I have set myself a challenge. It is to make an video, upload it to my favourite video site and then set myself the high standard of getting over 100,000 video views. There are quite a few (self imposed) criteria to this submission which are as follows:

  • The video must be something made by myself and filmed using my own equipment.
  • It must not have any “reckless” content, i.e. throwing myself off a bridge or happy slapping someone, artistic merit is the name of the game.
  • It must have more geniunely supportive comments than; “that was fake and your mum smells” type comments.
  • The views have to be solely counted for the site I submit them to, I can’t add views from Vimeo to the ones I got on Youtube.
  • The closing date for counting the views will be September 30th 2008.

I think it’s going to be an interesting challenge and one that I think other people should get onto aswell. I may even set up a little badge and get people to link back here with their submissions before the deadline.

Anyone up for it? I will let you know my progress as I work my way through the project.
