Please dont feed the Matt, he is a broken man.
I must say, it is good to be back in Blighty, you tend to miss the home comforts when you are away for so long. After my two holidays, I have suffered a mixture of sleep deprevation and mild drunkedness, and whilst not being life threatening, it damn well hurts!
Ibiza and Tenerife were awesome, it was great to go on two totally different holiday’s with two different groups of friends and experience the unique features of the individuals within them. While Ibiza was mainly a clubbing holiday where I visited 5 of the main super clubs, Tenerife was a sitting-by-the-pool holiday where you could enjoy the hot weather and speak to all the good looking women by the pool.
I happened to be the only person who went to Tenerife who was single, I must say it had it’s good and bad points. I was able to not worry about talking to girls who my mates may try and halt my progress but it also meant that when I was trying to strike up conversation with a group of say 6/7 girls, the others wouldnt be as interested in the menial conversation that tends to crop up when you first chat to a group of people. Overall, I would say that Tenerife left me with more confidence in myself, I was able to strike up friendships instantly with people by the pool, people on a night out and yes I did manage to hook up with a few aswell.
When I came home, I wanted to strike up a relationship with someone, stop being a single bloke and start enjoying someone elses company. The first night back, I managed to find someone who could possibly fit that bill, after talking to her in a club, she happened to be at the same pub last night and we resumed our conversation. I text her and it looks like we are meeting up for a few drinks, all in all I am pretty happy.
If you are wondering about the ankle, I went to football training yesterday and a new kid flew in recklessly on my ankle, not wanting to be one to shirk from a tackle, I went in to win the ball and the new kid basically took out my ankle. At first it was achy and I could play on, after driving home and sitting down, the pain became unbearable. I put a pack on frozen peas on it and took some Ibruprofen to numb the pain. I doubt I will be able to make training on Wedsnesday now, I am not happy.
