Starting a blog webring?

I was reading through nabiy’s and Skudd’s blogs earlier and noticed how many of the same people read each other’s blogs. Data comes here, he also posts on nabiy’s and vice versa. Although we link to each other in our blogrolls, we should set up some sort of secret society that allows you to find each other’s blogs really easily. From there you can navigate to a random blog that belongs to that webring (does that make sense).

I have no idea how to go about it or what to even call it, what you reckon?

Speaking of RSS

I have syndicated my feeds with Feedburner so I can keep on top of who reads my feeds (1 at the moment).

If you have them previously bookmarked, please update them to the new service on the right hand side or RSS icon in Firefox.

And if you dont use RSS, do so. Use Google Reader!

Google Reader glitch

I have just moved to Google Reader to keep track of all of my RSS feeds. The main reason behind this was that Firefox didnt adequately suit my needs and Data has been singing its praises for a while now.

One day after using it, I found a glitch. Upon renaming my feeds in the Settings tab, it only allows you to edit one feed without refreshing the page. It’s a small glitch but annoying when you click “Rename” and the little text box doesnt come up.

I have submitted it to the Google Reader Group and hopefully it will be corrected soon.

Decisions, Decisions..

For quite a while now I have been looking at getting a laptop. I like the idea of being able to move my work about with me, connect to the internet wirelessly, take it on holiday etc. I have also been especially interested in getting a Mac. The new range of Macbook’s are a little more powerful than they used to be and they also run on the Intel processors now. This means I can get Parallels for it and boot both Mac OS X and then Windows via the Virtual Machine.

Macbook!

I do have the money, a small voice tells me I should spend the money on other things. I also have heard that the Macbooks are suffering from overheating.

Should I wait for a newer batch? Should I get a normal laptop? Should I get one altogether?

South Park meets WoW

I have been a big fan of the new series of South Park, but the newest of Season 10 had me in stitches. It shows all four of the boys getting revenge on a player in the World Of Warcraft. Even if you arent a massive gamer or South Park fan, I am sure you will laugh at this.

edit: It seems they got shut down, probably due to the TV networks or something.

Anyways, the WoW fans got on the case in double quick time to point out the inaccuracies of the episode. Some good ones are:

  • While fighting the Renegade, Cartman uses Mocking Blow. This special attack meant to draw a hostile NPC’s attention has little effect on a human controlled enemy. Dialogue hints that Cartman is a warrior, although when his screen is shown it is clear that he is actually a Rogue; which would make his weilding of a two-handed mace impossible.
  • The skills Kenny is instructed to use in the game suggest he is a Hunter, a class not allowed by his obvious Human race. He may actually be a Rogue or a Warrior instead.
  • Crushing an enemy’s head into a bloody pulp as depicted in the final fight is impossible in the game.

Hahahahaha…
