Blow me down…

Went into work this morning, drove my work friend in for the first time, was jumpy because she has the tendency to gossip. That was fine.

I got into doing my work, sorting out the database, website research and odds and sods when I happen to leave a page open on my browser as my boss walks past. She see’s the page, its a very well designed website named Vivabit who boast some very very nice CSS programming skills. Anyway, she see’s the page and asks me what it is, I tell her and she agrees on the quality of the layout, she also notices that they are organising a conference. I have been looking at this conference for ages and wanting to book onto it.

This conference is named @media and boasts the top names in web design today. To be honest I hadn’t heard of many of them but a little research allowed me to recognise that the event was a good one, well worth attending. Now this is where it gets good…..my boss actually asks me if I would like to attend, I pretend that I hadnt thought about it all that much but definately wanted to go and see what it was all about. After a brief discussion and £470 later, I am officially booked into the event, held in London in the middle of June……..fucking result!

Here are some bits of information on it:

“Registration includes entry to both days of the conference (single day tickets are not available), buffet lunch on both days and refreshments throughout the days, and conference bag and programme. Registration does not include accommodation.”

The accomodation part isnt a problem, I know loads of people in the London area and can bunk up with them, thats a result.

Over 20 renowned leading-web-design-lights from seven countries will be descending on @media 2006 to share their extensive expertise and experience.

Not bad eh? You can click the links for more information.

Some of the points they will be discussing:

Again, pretty neat stuff!

I will report later but I am chuffed im actually going!
