Life, Love and Ankles

Posted by Matt under General, People, Update

Please dont feed the Matt, he is a broken man.

I must say, it is good to be back in Blighty, you tend to miss the home comforts when you are away for so long. After my two holidays, I have suffered a mixture of sleep deprevation and mild drunkedness, and whilst not being life threatening, it damn well hurts!

Ibiza and Tenerife were awesome, it was great to go on two totally different holiday’s with two different groups of friends and experience the unique features of the individuals within them. While Ibiza was mainly a clubbing holiday where I visited 5 of the main super clubs, Tenerife was a sitting-by-the-pool holiday where you could enjoy the hot weather and speak to all the good looking women by the pool.

I happened to be the only person who went to Tenerife who was single, I must say it had it’s good and bad points. I was able to not worry about talking to girls who my mates may try and halt my progress but it also meant that when I was trying to strike up conversation with a group of say 6/7 girls, the others wouldnt be as interested in the menial conversation that tends to crop up when you first chat to a group of people. Overall, I would say that Tenerife left me with more confidence in myself, I was able to strike up friendships instantly with people by the pool, people on a night out and yes I did manage to hook up with a few aswell.

When I came home, I wanted to strike up a relationship with someone, stop being a single bloke and start enjoying someone elses company. The first night back, I managed to find someone who could possibly fit that bill, after talking to her in a club, she happened to be at the same pub last night and we resumed our conversation. I text her and it looks like we are meeting up for a few drinks, all in all I am pretty happy.

If you are wondering about the ankle, I went to football training yesterday and a new kid flew in recklessly on my ankle, not wanting to be one to shirk from a tackle, I went in to win the ball and the new kid basically took out my ankle. At first it was achy and I could play on, after driving home and sitting down, the pain became unbearable. I put a pack on frozen peas on it and took some Ibruprofen to numb the pain. I doubt I will be able to make training on Wedsnesday now, I am not happy.

My company..

Posted by Matt under Internet, Tech

I am going to start advertising my services as a computer odd-job bloke and maybe a web-designer aswell. Trouble is, I want to have a company name and am coming up blank. As its going to be a computer type company, I want something catchy but also modern.

Do you have any ideas?

And I’m Back

Posted by Matt under Update

I returned from Ibiza yesterday morning after a really fantastic holiday.

It was back to work today, I managed to grab some sleep from 9 to 4pm and then from 10pm right through til this morning. On the whole, I feel fine but am waiting for the dreaded decline of alertness in the later hours of today.

I suppose you are wondering how Ibiza was, as I said above it was really really good. On the way out we were delayed by three and a half hours, this just meant we could sit in the pub for two of them and also get our heads down for a small while. Once on the plane we made good time and arrived in Ibiza for about 8am their time (GMT +1). Before arriving, we really didnt know what to expect from the hotel, it was a 1-star place that could really have been a shed for all we knew. Upon arrival, we walk upto this street and find what looks like a pretty decent hotel, we assume it’s for the other people on our coach…..surprise! It’s our’s! The rooms all had fully kitted out kitchens, 4 beds and a decent bathroom, they even had safety deposit boxes in the rooms which was a surprise.

I dont really want to bore you with a rundown of the whole thing, I shall just post a link to the pictures and you can see for yourself. I will post both links to my gallery and my Flickr account, for the latter you have to sign up for a Flickr account if you wish to comment (please do, all comments are welcome) and allow me to add you as a friend.

If you were wondering, we were kind of caught up in the whole terrorism alert chaos, whilst our flights werent cancelled there were minor delays and we had to make sure all our hand luggage was packed in our suitcases, quite a small thing really.

If you want me to tell you some of what happened, drop a comment and I will prepare a small summary.

Oh! Im going to Ibiza!

Posted by Matt under General, Happy, Music

Yes, the title is correct, I am off to Ibiza.

I have gone a bit mental and spent about £300 on clothing just for the holiday, perhaps I have a weakness. I spent £15 on suntan lotion alone, the chemist managed to mug me out of a few hard earned dinero’s there. The euro’s are changed up, the bags are packed and I am sitting in work for my last day for a whole 10/11 days.

There are seven of us in total going, its going to be messy. There will be four in one room and three in the other, it will be funny to see who gets put with who.

On the first night, we are off to a place called Judgement Sunday. It’s a night at the Eden nightclub that is run by Radio1 (one of our national radio stations from the BBC) and will feature loads of cool DJ’s and funky music.

Judgement Day!

After that, who knows? I expect there to be many sleepless nights, fights, malarks and much more. Stay tuned for pictures and a report on it all!
