They still havent officially unveiled the new home or first away kit, instead they have released the 3rd kit. Here is the kit in question:

All you get is a crappy picture on the main splash page, you cant see it in its full detail.

Having said that, I like it.

Sky.

I had Sky TV installed today, what a f**king effort.

The arrangement was for us to recieve 4 x Sky+ boxes, one for each room and basically have it all setup and left for us to use. We had paid for the boxes, arranged the channels to be added to the package and awaited the installation.

The installation dudes turned up 11am and got straight to work, they drilled all the holes and got stuck straight into getting our TV system set up. Then came the bombshell. Turns out you need to have a phone socket in every room! We only have the one phone socket and that is downstairs, three of the boxes were meant to be housed upstairs!

Cue some phone calls to Sky and we manage to work out that we can add the one Sky box downstairs and one in my room, they have phone points. The installation dudes get back to work and start laying phone lines and cables so we can use it in the rooms. They have been at the house for nearly three hours by this point.

Another bombshell is dropped. We only have 3 Sky Digiboxes and one Sky+ box, not the 4 Sky+ boxes we were meant to have. OK, just shove it in and we will sort it out.

Two hours pass and they install it all finally. Next thing to piss us off is the fact that the packages we ordered arent all installed. Another phone call to Sky.

Sky offer £30 for the nuisance, my mother basically says “F**k that”. She is told that she can write to Sky and complain, oh she will do.

I can see us having the four boxes were orignally wanted, some compensation and I can see us getting it installed for free, thats the beauty of having a mum like mine :)

The box I have in my room:

It’s BBQ time…

Posted by Matt under General, Happy, People, Sport

Phew, what a day. It started off with an early morning hangover, I raised myself and opened the windows, DAMN it was hot in there.

Apon waking, I had to go back into town to pickup my car from the night before. I had ventured to the pub, drank lots and lots and lots of Magners Cider and ended up in the fine establishment we call “The Brush“. Once I had recovered my wheels, the day was ahead of me, all I needed to do is decide what I wanted to do with it.

I phoned my compadre Luke and invited him over, possibly for some BBQ offerings, all I needed was the meat. As he ventured over, he contacted another amigo; Ryan and suddenly things were looking up.

I prepped the BBQ, opened the house to the world and waited for the triumphant heroes to arrive. They promptly arrived, boasting an impressive array of meats and alcoholic beverages. Each meat type was imaculately prepared by myself. We feasted on burgers, spicy chicken, ribs and other various titbits until bellies were full to bursting.

Then came the retro gaming, we cracked open the N64 and loaded up Goldeneye (possibly the greatest FPS ever). Being a Halo convert, it took time to revert back to the N64 joypad but once that boundary was broken, the streets ran red with blood………..most of it mine ;) Mario Kart 64, Pokemon Stadium (Run Rattata Run!) followed.

The gaming wasnt enough for us though, we were swiftly joined by Cheg who brought the tally to 4. We ventured into the midday heat and played some football, this lasted until Cheg decided to throw the ball at Luke and destroy my mums rose bush.

This however was a blessing in disguise. Jumping in the car, we drove down to the local park and played yet more football. This moved onto the 5 a side pitch which resulted in a 2 on 2 game. Myself and Cheg won 7-1, Luke playing in bare feet. To finish we played 21’s, what a game. I managed to clinch the first game with a flourish towards the end after some stiff competition from Luke. The second however wasnt so fun, a first to 11 match saw me run in last with Ryan winning followed closely by Luke and Cheg. We returned home and went our separate ways.

What a day, this is what life is supposed to be like…….oh and I have Star Wars Episode III now as Luke left it behind :)

Update

Posted by Matt under General, Update

Firstly I have to apologise for the crude amount of layout changes I have made to the site. I simply havent been happy with any of the changes I have made and am continually in the pursuit to find one I can stick with.

I also have to apologise for the lack of updates, I have been crazy busy both at work and home. I have been working on a new website for my company, that has been taking centre stage at the moment. Once I get home I have been playing a lot of football and going to the gym. It also doesnt help that my ISP left me without internet for 7 days, that was annoying to say the least.

I have also turned my hand to writing for another blog with some friends, the blog is football based and comments on the latest news in football. It can be found @ http://3pmkickoff.blogspot.com/

But after all that, I am back. Expect regular updates.
