One thousand paintings of 1000 numbers for sale..

Go here: http://www.onethousandpaintings.com

Sala, an artist from Zürich, Switzerland, is selling 1000 paintings of the first 1000 numbers. The selling price of each painting is calculated like so:

Value = 1000 - number.
Initial discount: 90%.
Current discount: 80%.
The discount will decrease by an absolute 10% for every 100 paintings sold.
Min. price: $40.

So far, Zala has sold 128 paintings.

I thought this was a really cool idea, I bought one. I went for the number 930 as it was the month and the day that I was born (30th September). I could have gone for 309 but that was a little above my price range. Things like this really pique my interest and I thought what the hell, £30 isnt going to hurt the bank balance is it?

My Art!

So you can call me a purveyor of art….hahahahhaha, how that sounds weird.

It’s been a while..

and have I been busy? Have I heck.

Not much has gone on in Matt Land lately, been working my usual hours and not enjoying it but I must say I am liking the look of the new girl, she is very good looking (shame she has a boyfriend). It was good to have a Bank Holiday weekend, managed to rest and play over the 3 days, been to the pub on Friday, Jongleurs for Ben’s birthday on the Saturday, massive cooked breakfasts and football on Sunday and then gym on the Monday. I really cant complain at that.

Jongleurs was a laugh, it should have been considering it’s a comedy club. We arrived about seven in the evening and started on the beers, not having eaten we decided to head up to the main comedy area to grab some dinner and take our seats for the night. The dinner itself was standard fare, burgers and stuff like that. 8 of us decided on a Chicken Platter that could be shared between two, so four were ordered, we were stuffed!

About half 8 the comedy started, there were 4 acts in total, two before and two after the break. The first guy was the self confessed ‘lovechild’ of Mick Hucknall and Cher, his jokes were funny and set a high standard for the rest of the night. The second dude tired rapping but failed, he wasnt as funny but still raised a few laughs. The cream of the comedians were the second round, a local lad and Jim Tavare, who I recognised from TV. They kept us laughing and the comedy finished about 11pm.

Then the tables are moved away for a dancefloor, cheesy music was played and we all were very drunk on pitchers of beer and cocktails. We also had some luck with the ladies (as shown in the pictures):

So, yeah…..all in all a good weekend.

Which Matrix persona are you?

You are Agent Smith. No one would ever want to run into you in a dark alley. Cold as steel, tough as a rock, things are your way or the highway.

Another BBC cock-up.

With a verdict on the Apple vs Apple Music court case reached, BBC News 24 brought in a guy named Guy Kewney to comment on the decision. Instead of getting Guy, they managed to grab a guy from the foyer (who happened to be a taxi driver possibly waiting to pick Mr Kewney up), mic him up and then interview him live on air. This is what happened:

Cup Winners!

Today we played a team in the League Cup Final who finished just below us in the league. We had played them obviously twice before and drawn both times so today was going to be a tough match.

We started off quite slowly, the ball wasnt on the ground much and it was definately a game for the defense of both teams. The first half ended goalless but we should have gone into the break at least two up.

Second half was a better performance all round, we defended really well and held them to one shot on target, and that was a pass-back to the keeper. We scored a lovely goal with about 20 minutes left on the clock and battled to secure the win.

In the changing rooms after, I went to take a mouthful of what I thought was Champagne and it was Remy Martin cognac! Someone read that it said Champagne on the side and brought it in! I was half drunk after a beer in the bar!

Here is a pic of the team lineup:
