"This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. " - Morpheus - The Matrix

Posted by Matt under Music

As you may have noticed, I have added a Last.fm song listing to my blog. It will display the top 10 listened to tracks in my iTunes library for the week.

If you havent heard of Last.fm, hop to it and install a plugin of your own.

Ebay

Posted by Matt under General

Until today I only used to buy using Ebay. This morning I was browsing and looking at similar items that I was interested in selling.

I decided I would discuss with my mother the finer points of Ebay selling and ended up wanting to sell some of my unused Xbox games. I take a picture on my camera phone and add the item to the listings, £10 for four games…..bargain!

Its exciting as hell, I keep going back to check even though its a seven day listing! I cant stop looking around the room for things to list!

I can now see why Ebay is addictive!

Shattered

Posted by Matt under General

Its been a manic week thats for sure. It all started with the 16 hour day I worked on Monday. That involved helping to prepare for an event run by the company I work for and actually help out and talk to people during the evening. This all of course wasnt helped by the fact I was home alone and had to look after the dog, so I was up at 6.30am each morning to make sure that mutt-dog got his walk.

The tuesday was football training, in which we trained in temperatures as low as -4 degrees, looking at the steam rising off us must have been a right picture. This meant I got home quite late again and didnt catch up on the sleep I had lost.

Do any of you watch LOST? I am a big fan and sat down to watch episode twelve last night. I have to say it is one of the worst episodes that they have ever created, it didnt really have a start, a middle or and end (much as LOST seems to do anyway) and for too many biblical references that many of us arent able to comprehend. Still you WILL catch me tuning in to next weeks episode!

Im glad the weekend is apon us, some football tonight, possible drinks afterwards and a nice lay-in on the saturday. And then hopefully we can stuff Leigh Ramblers on Sunday and extend our streak of not conceding to four games!

Pharmacies suck.

Posted by Matt under Angry

I get an hour for lunch. Normally I only go into the high street just to accompany my workmates because I bring in my own lunch.

Well today I actually needed something. I have been suffering from a little heaviness in my ear so I wanted to by some Otex ear drops to break down the pressure and allow me to hear properly again.

So I pop into Boots. I wait patiently at the counter and when I am served I ask for Otex ear drops:

“Sorry sir, the pharmacy is closed for lunch. If you would like to come back at 3pm, we will be able to serve you your product. Try the other pharmacy round the corner”

Three o’clock?! Three fucking o’clock! Who has a lunchbreak that spans that timespan?!

I suck it in and head for Lloyds Pharmacy. Again, I wait patiently only to be told:

“Sorry but the pharmacist is on lunch til 2pm, if you would like to come back then.”

What cheek, I get one bloody hour for my lunch to do my daily errands and the inconsiderate bastards can’t serve me.

Luckily the Mrs was able to get some for me.

Football.

Our first game since Christmas today, a good 7-0 thrashing of a lucklustre team. I was a tad rusty and made a few errors but on the whole I played well.

I did however manage to get a boot to the ribs, this has caused discomfort when breathing and a little lump on the side of my chest, oh well.

I think on the back of todays performance, I will start running again. This will get my fitness and pace back and hopefully in turn increase my productiveness during the match.

Lets see if I can get off the computer first. :)
